Project Overview
ClutterCue is a consumer-facing AI mobile application designed to solve a universal problem: cluttered photo libraries that are difficult, time-consuming, and risky to clean manually.
Veltiqo partnered on the product strategy, positioning, and system design of ClutterCue to create an experience that feels safe, intelligent, and effortless — especially in an era where users are increasingly skeptical of cloud-based AI and data misuse.
The core challenge was trust. Photo cleanup apps require access to deeply personal data, so the product had to communicate security and transparency before convenience.
The Problem
Most photo cleanup tools rely on cloud processing, unclear data policies, or aggressive auto-deletion logic. This creates friction, fear, and user churn.
Users want:
- Clear explanations of what will be deleted
- Full control over decisions
- Zero risk of permanent loss
- Strong privacy guarantees
ClutterCue was built to address these concerns at the architectural level — not just in marketing copy.
The Solution
Veltiqo helped shape ClutterCue as a privacy-first AI system, where all photo analysis happens directly on the user’s device.
Key product decisions included:
- On-device perceptual hashing for duplicate detection
- Visual similarity learning based on user examples
- Rule-based automation with explicit user consent
- Safe deletion flow using native “Recently Deleted” recovery
- Transparent confidence scoring for every AI decision
The result is an AI assistant that feels helpful — not intrusive.
Features Delivered
- Duplicate & near-duplicate photo detection
- Screenshot and accidental capture cleanup
- Visual similarity learning
- Custom cleanup rules (e.g. WhatsApp images after X days)
- Weekly digest summaries
- Free, Pro, and Family subscription tiers
- App Store–compliant privacy architecture
Strategic Impact
ClutterCue positions itself not just as a utility, but as a trust-driven AI product — turning privacy from a compliance requirement into a core differentiator.
The product demonstrates how AI can be embedded into consumer workflows without sacrificing autonomy or safety.
